Jockey on a Race Horse – Bronze Sculpture on Marble Base

A sculpture full of sporting dynamism and noble elegance, depicting a jockey leaning low over the back of his steed, captured at the climactic moment of a horse race – perhaps just before the finish line of a legendary derby at Epsom, Ascot, Chantilly, or Kentucky. The masterfully modelled English thoroughbred gallops with all its strength, its slender legs frozen in the perfect characteristic extended-gallop motion of the breed, while its long tail streams behind like a banner, conveying the full thrust, speed, and hypnotic energy of the moment. The animal's nostrils are slightly flared, its muscles tensed to the limit, and the entire silhouette radiates the trained strength, grace, and endurance bred over generations by breeders of noble bloodlines.

The jockey, dressed in classical riding attire with a characteristic sports cap, riding boots, and breeches, leans low over the horse's neck in an aerodynamic position, firmly holding the reins – his figure, though compact and focused, merges with the body of the animal into one harmonious, inseparable whole. Every detail has been modelled with masterful precision – the folds of the rider's clothing fluttering in the wind, the horse's harness with reins and bit, the saddle, the horseshoes, and the delicately outlined blood vessels and muscles beneath the gleaming skin of the steed, all testify to the highest artistic craftsmanship and deep knowledge of equine anatomy and equestrian sport. The sculpture pays homage to the finest works of 19th-century masters of animal sculpture, the so-called "animaliers", such as Pierre-Jules Mêne, Isidore Bonheur, and Antoine-Louis Barye. The warm, copper-bronze patina with subtle reflections beautifully accentuates the play of light upon the horse's coat and the folds of the rider's attire, while the polished black marble base lends the entire piece a noble, sporting, and timeless character.

Every sculpture in our Czysta materia store is entirely handcrafted by experienced artisans using the traditional lost-wax casting technique – which means that each piece is unique and possesses its own distinctive character, subtle variations in patina, and an individual soul. It is an exceptional collector's item and an outstanding decorative element for a prestigious living room, study, library, law firm, equestrian club, horse stud, golf club, conference room, or trainer's office. A perfect gift for equestrian enthusiasts, jockeys, horse breeders, stud owners, fans of horse racing, regulars at racing tracks such as Służewiec or Ascot, athletes, collectors of animal sculpture, and anyone who admires the beauty of horses, sporting passion, and the timeless elegance of equestrian tradition.
